Faux Capiz Chandelier

Finally, I made my faux capiz chandelier.

I saw a few tutorials on how to make these last summer.  I like this one the best....

I went to Hobby Lobby and bought a circle cutter.  I attempted to make the waxed paper cirlces.  My cutter broke.  It kept jamming up.  I set everything aside and forgot about it.

Fast forward to today.  I bought another circle cutter from Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago.  This time I purchased a better made cutter.  I used my 40% coupon.  I bought a 1.5" cutter and wished I would have gotten the 2".

I bought a flower hanger for a couple dollars from Walmart.  Sprayed it white.  I missed a few spots on the chain (don't look).  I used my sewing machine to sew the circles together into one long chain.  Cut those into 10 circles each.  Slipped those over the rails, 5 on each side.  This made is a lot fuller than stringing them separately and hot gluing.  I didn't use any glue.

I am thrilled with the way this turned out.  I have this hanging in a corner over my bathtub.  No light, but it's for looks on.y. I have a winter home in Florida.  I have a light over the tub and will be making another one for that space.

It didn't take long at all to make this.  Using my sewing machine to chain the cirlces together was a snap.
